Lifeline Services

Lifeline is a Federal program that offers telephone discounts to low-income consumers in all U.S. States and Territories.

Those who qualify may receive discounts on monthly basic telephone services (Lifeline). You may be eligible for the Lifeline program if you participate in any of the following programs:

• Medicaid

• Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

• Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

• Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)

• Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)

• Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance

• State Assistance Programs (if applicable)

• Head Start (if income eligibility criteria are met)

• Tribally-Administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TTANF)

• Or if the household income is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines

To determine your eligibility for Lifeline and to enroll in this program, contact your local Seneca/Goodman/Ozark Telephone business office at 417-776-2247 or online at sgobroadband.com.  Federal rules prohibit eligible low-income consumers from receiving more than ONE Lifeline discount within a household unit at the same time. That is, eligible low-income households may receive a Lifeline discount on either a wireline or a wireless service, but may not receive a Lifeline.
